Hydroterra was established in 2004. The company was founded by Richard Campbell (Hydrogeologist) whose interest in hydrogeology and catchment hydrology led him into the sphere of monitoring the various components of the hydrologic cycle:

Climate
Plant water use
Soil moisture storage
Groundwater

Through experience in the environmental consulting sector Richard became aware of the need not only to be able to monitor these parameters but to also have data on the chemical properties of the groundwater and surface waters. The vision of Hydroterra is to provide high quality instrumentation, customer service and most importantly education. We believe the most important component of any scientific study is the data collected. Unfortunately data acquisition has traditionally been the most costly component of scientific endeavor. Recent changes in technology mean that more and more parameters can be measured insitu and data collected in real time. Telemetry systems can relay this data cost effectively to locations around the world. Our goal is to provide the best monitoring technology available and to assist and educate the scientific and engineering practitioners working in research, agriculture, mining and environmental sectors within Australia and the Asia Pacific.

In addition to monitoring equipment, HydroTerra provides a range of remediation equipment and consumables for groundwater and soil. We aim to provide engineers and scientists with the best technologies available world wide for the remediation of contaminated soil and groundwater.
