Richard is the Company founder. Richard has been a geologist, hydrogeologist and environmental scientist for more than 25 years. In recent times Richard has focussed on monitoring technologies and how these can be applied to improving operational and compliance efficiencies. Richard has significant experience in environmental and regulatory compliance requirements having worked in the areas of EPA Auditing, landfill, mining, coal seam gas, catchment management, contaminated sites, effluent irrigation, agriculture, aquatic environments and many more. Graeme has over 30 years of international & local experience in business administration, planning & forecasting, budgeting, IT, data analysis and project management. He has worked for large multinational industrial companies as well as local environmental consultancies. Graeme has held national operational roles in logistics management and been a project manager in large scale IT implementations.
Senior Project Engineer
Yik is a controls engineer with 18 years’ experience specialising in automated process design and controls, system integration and factory automation. Yik has been working for HydroTerra for the past 2 years as a senior project engineer, specialising in the design, programing and assembly of monitoring telemetry systems. LinkedIn Profile
Instrumentation and Data Scientist
Andrew has over eight years of experience working with geophysical monitoring systems and holds a degree in Engineering Physics from Queen’s University (Kingston, Canada). He has been employed as a project manager, technical specialist, and research assistant in projects throughout North America and Australia. Andrew spearheads HydroTerra’s project management and DataStream services related to long-term environmental monitoring systems and dam seepage investigations.
Kyle has 4-years’ experience in the water industry as an aquaculture and field data technician. Through this he gained invaluable experience in field data analysis, report documentation, water quality analysis and technical water monitoring equipment. Since starting with Hydroterra in 2018, Kyle has gained experience in groundwater, landfill gas, leachate sampling, reporting and data analysis and is currently completing further study in Environmental Management. As Sales Manager for Hydroterra, he has developed a strong knowledge and understanding of all monitoring equipment to meet clients needs.
Michelle Canton is the Operational Manager, with a hydrogeology and management background. Michelle has more than 10 years’ experience in environmental team management. Michelle has graduated in geology in Brazil and has joined HydroTerra’s team in 2016. Michelle also has the expertise to managing projects with potential and contaminated land, including field data collection such as surface, groundwater, soil and gas sampling, management of data on specific software.
Rental & Workshop Manager
John Guo is the Rental and Workshop Manager of HydroTerra, and has extensive experience in electrical engineering.
Ryan is an Electronics technician who has had several years’ experience working with environmental monitoring equipment. Since starting work with HydroTerra in March 2012, Ryan has had hands on experience working on the installation of a number of environmental monitoring systems. As HydroTerra’s workshop technician Ryan is able to repair and troubleshoot any unexpected fault during sampling or installation.
Joe’s current role is in field data collection, where he is experienced in landfill gas monitoring, groundwater and surface water sampling and leachate sampling, with development of reporting, project management and training of field staff being currently undertaken. Joe graduated as an Environmental Engineer in 2017 and began working for HydroTerra during his studies on a casual basis, joining the team in a full-time capacity in March 2018. Previously, Joe has worked in various fields and has past environmental field experience including flora and fauna surveys and erosion and sediment control assessment.
