Integrated Field Forms Now Live in DataStream™
HydroTerra is continuing to expand the capability of DataStream™ with the introduction of integrated field forms.
HydroTerra has long used digital field forms to support site inspections, maintenance, and compliance reporting. Previously, these tools operated as standalone systems.
This enhancement embeds field forms directly within DataStream™, enabling real-time integration between field activities and centralised data management. This functionality is now available within DataStream™ and is currently being deployed at Wollert Landfill as an initial implementation.
Moving Beyond Manual Processes
Across many sites, field data collection still relies on paper-based or disconnected workflows. This creates challenges including inconsistent records, limited visibility and fragmented data. Integrating field forms into DataStream™ dashboards consolidates these workflows into a single system, improving visibility and reducing reliance on manual processes.
How the System Works
Inspection workflows are configured as structured digital field forms, accessible via mobile devices. These forms standardise data capture, guide operators through required checks, and ensure critical information is recorded consistently.
Key features include:
- Mobile data capture: Inspections completed directly in the field
- Guided compliance workflows: Forms aligned to site-specific requirements (e.g. RRMPs), prompting required checks and ensuring necessary reporting is completed. Particularly valuable where operators may not have full visibility of compliance obligations
- Real-time data integration: Submitted forms available within the DataStream dashboard
- Automated reporting: Structured outputs generated for each submission, including PDF records
- Centralised data storage: All inspection data consolidated into one system
- Status tracking and alerts: Dashboards indicating completion status and highlighting gaps
- Integrated visualisation with continuous data: Field observations can be viewed alongside real-time telemetry within DataStream dashboards, providing full context for site conditions and enabling more informed decision-making
