Description

The Sentek BILBY® is an innovative underground telemetry device designed to work with Sentek Drill & Drop™ soil moisture probes, providing a completely below-ground monitoring solution. Connected via the SDI-12 protocol, the BILBY® wirelessly transmits data through the soil to a nearby gateway, which then uploads information to the cloud using Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or cellular communications. This enables remote access to soil moisture data while keeping all field hardware concealed and protected.
Engineered for reliability and minimal maintenance, the BILBY® features a long-life replaceable battery with more than eight years of operational life and can communicate with a gateway up to 150 metres away using underground wireless technology. Its rugged, out-of-sight design makes it ideal for agriculture, research, and environmental monitoring applications where equipment security, aesthetics, and uninterrupted data collection are important considerations.
