From coasts to deep oceans: How emerging technologies are transforming environmental monitoring

CSIRO researchers, Andrew Filisetti and Pat McMahon joinied us to explore emerging technologies that are transforming environmental monitoring and helping organisations make better-informed environmental decisions.

We learnt how these technologies are helping overcome key monitoring challenges, from collecting reliable data in vast and remote environments to improving the consistency of observations and turning complex datasets into actionable insights. We saw how emerging sensing technologies are being integrated with traditional monitoring programs to deliver more efficient data collection, broader environmental coverage, and improved decision-making for industry and regulators.
