A recent groundwater sampling workshop provided three clients with essential training in best practices to ensure high-quality, representative data. The session covered key techniques for groundwater sampling, proper equipment handling, and strategies to minimise contamination and increase reliability of data.

In addition to this workshop, a custom training session was delivered in Blayney, NSW, focusing on the use of dedicated double valve pumps. This hands-on training allowed participants to gain practical experience in operating the equipment, troubleshooting common issues, and applying correct purging and stabilisation techniques. Dedicated double valve pumps are a highly effective method for low-flow sampling, helping to maintain sample integrity while minimising disturbance to groundwater conditions.

Throughout these sessions, the importance of consistent and standardized sampling procedures was emphasised to ensure reliable data collection. Proper groundwater sampling practices support regulatory compliance and enable informed decision-making in water resource management.

Workshops like these play a crucial role in reinforcing quality assurance in groundwater monitoring. Tailored training opportunities help organisations improve their sampling programs and enhance data accuracy.
