Description
A tensiometer measures the force with which water is held in the soil by the soil particles. This force, referred to as soil suction, tension, or potential, indicates how tightly the water is bound in the soil, and how much energy must be exerted by plant roots to remove and use the water.
The Model 2725AR Jet Fill Tensiometer features the Jet Fill reservoir for push-button convenience and minimisation of soil disturbance when servicing is required. Unique modular construction allows for easy replacement of the porous ceramic cup and dial gauge and adaptation of extensions for flexibility and variety in use. Series 0240 Insertion Tools can be used to core a hole to accept these units.
The SNiP-GT3 is a ‘Sensor Node Integrated Package’ for LoRaWAN or CAT-M1 communication of real-time soil tension measurements for continuous soil monitoring.
The base SNiP-GT3 integrates 1x MFR-NODE and 1x GT3-15 Transducer to a site’s unique network, communication and power requirements. The GT3-15 Transducer couples with a preferred Jet Fill Tensiometer. The MFR-NODE can support an added 3x GT3-15 Transducers to monitor soil moisture at multiple depths.
This product is compatible with Datastream.
