Rent environmental monitoring equipment from Australia’s monitoring specialists

HydroTerra rents environmental monitoring equipment to organisations across Australia — instruments and complete field kits for groundwater sampling, water quality measurement, water level logging, air quality and gas monitoring, and soil, dust and weather monitoring. Equipment is available for short-term hire to cover a single sampling round or one-off project, and for long-term hire to support ongoing monitoring programs.

Every item in the hire fleet is drawn from the world’s best suppliers, kept up to date, and fully serviced before it goes out. Rental is one part of HydroTerra’s one-stop-shop offering, alongside equipment sales, system design, installation, integration, maintenance and field data management, so you can hire a single instrument, a turnkey sampling kit, or a fully telemetered monitoring system, with technical support included throughout the hire.

A straightforward, supported process from enquiry to return.

  1. Enquire. Tell us your parameters, site depth, duration and location. Call +61 (3) 8683 0091 or email rentals@hydroterra.com.au.
  2. Get a quote. We recommend the right instrument or kit and send an obligation-free, project-specific quote with flexible costing, typically within one business day.
  3. Delivered Australia-wide. Your fully-serviced, ready-to-use equipment is dispatched to your site anywhere in Australia.
  4. In-field support. Use the equipment with end-to-end technical support, including in-field troubleshooting and training so your team can collect reliable data.
  5. Return. Send the equipment back at the end of your hire. We service and recalibrate it ready for the next deployment.

Rent vs Buy: Not sure whether to hire or purchase?

Renting suits you when…

  • You need equipment for a defined project, sampling round or fixed-term program
  • Requirements vary between sites and you want flexibility on instruments and duration
  • You want to avoid the upfront cost, servicing and calibration overhead of ownership
  • You need specialist gear (for example a deep low-flow kit or autosampler) only occasionally
  • You want a fully-serviced, calibration-ready instrument without maintaining a fleet

Buying suits you when…

  • You run continuous, long-running monitoring and use the equipment frequently
  • You want to standardise on a fixed instrument set across your organisation
  • You’re building a permanent or telemetered monitoring system
  • You’d prefer to own assets and manage servicing in-house or under a support plan
