Description
Toroidal conductivity sensors consist of an inductive 2-coil system encapsulated in an inert plastic case. This inductive system can eliminate the polarizing effects that may produce erratic measurements with a contacting conductivity sensor. Toroidal sensors are also resistant to fouling, because the coils are not in contact with the process. Therefore, toroidal conductivity sensors have become the standard in many high conductivity applications, such as chemical processing, cooling towers, and seawater monitoring.
The Sensorex TCS series toroidal (inductive) conductivity sensors feature wide measurement ranges and dependable toroidal technology over the range 0-2000 ms/cm. Resistant to corrosion, coatings, and fouling common to contacting conductivity sensors, the TCS series is designed for a long and trouble-free service life. With a direct ModBUS RS485 output, the FCL sensors can be used with any instrument accepting ModBUS input or connected directly to a PLC or SCADA.
All models can be submersed by utilizing the 3/4” MNPT threads on the sensor or installed inline using the FC95C flow cell. All TCS sensor models are supplied with a 6m long 4-conductor cable. Custom lengths are available.
The Modbus models provide conductivity and temperature along with calibration data and sensor name.
