A silicon based lubricant that has high temperature resistance and chemical stability.  It is used in  vacuum pumps and vacuum systems, mainly for air sampling.  SIlicone grease is used to lubricate o-rings and seals on air sampling equipment to ensure it doesn’t leak air or allow contaminants to enter.
