On any given day, HydroTerra is out in the field applying its technology and systems to bring operational efficiencies and provide sustainable outcomes across multiple industry sectors. Here’s a snapshot of some recent projects in air quality.

Portable Air Quality Monitoring

Client Request: Short-term fixed monitoring

Solution: Whether measuring indoor or outdoor air quality, ozone levels, or wildfire smoke HydroTerra’s range of portable air quality monitors deliver reliable real-time data you can trust. A “swappable” sensor head design allows users to measure up to 30 common indoor and outdoor pollutants, removing and replacing sensors in seconds. HydroTerra recently supplied eight (8) portable sensors, four (4) monitoring Carbon dioxide CO2 and four (4) monitoring Methane (CH4).

Non Real-time Dust Monitoring

Client Request: Monthly dust compliance monitoring

Solution: Since September 2015, HydroTerra has undertaken monthly gravimetric dust sampling, cleaning and calibration of the PM10 dust monitors, along with quarterly reporting. Dust deposition gauges offer a low-cost, reliable way of undertaking simple non real-time dust monitoring. Consisting of a glass funnel supported by a glass bottle, the unit requires very little maintenance, and does not require any power to operate, so it can be taken and positioned literally anywhere.

Integrated Air Monitoring

Client Request: Realtime Dust Monitoring of Residential Development

Solution: HydroTerra recently assisted in a 12-month dust monitoring program for a major residential development in Queensland by deploying an Aeroqual Dust Sentry Pro. Real-time dust monitors make excellent candidates for short to medium-term dust monitoring programs, where highly mobile equipment and fast deployment are priorities. In terms of dust monitoring instruments, the Dust Sentry is as ‘plug-and-play’ as it gets, with a small-scale solar power supply and dust monitoring nephelometry engine providing fast, secure and high-quality data straight to a cloud-based data management system.
