Running for the river

Karin Traeger, CEO Of the Yarra Riverkeeper Association, is set to run 280kms to raise awareness and money to promote a healthy, protected and loved Yarra, Birrarung River. The run launches this Sunday 25 September, World Rivers Day, and will take place over six days.

Karin aims to raise $100,000 to help support the Riverkeeper Association’s advocacy and stewardship activities in the catchment, enabling better protection of the precious waterways.

While this is a solo run, everyone can engage virtually by donating to Karin’s effort and by sharing their own stories and videos about the mighty river, using the hashtag #runtheriverkeeper. HydroTerra is a proud supporter of Karin’s run and all the work that the Yarra Riverkeeper Association does to protect our Yarra, Birrarung River.
