Our next webinar will provide an overview of the Great Barrier Reef Catchment Loads Monitoring Program, highlighting its purpose, methods, and outcomes.
We are joined by Mika Rowston and Richard Gardiner from The University of Queensland and will begin buy looking at the background and drivers behind the program and discuss how it has expanded over time to include more catchments, parameters, and monitoring sites.
Attendees will gain insight into both discrete sampling and real-time monitoring approaches including the types of equipment used, example installations, and the strengths and limitations of each.
We’ll then look at how data are transmitted and quality controlled, from remote field collection through to processing and validation.
Finally, we’ll introduce the public-facing tools available to access and interpret program data, demonstrating how this information supports effective management of the Great Barrier Reef catchments.
Don’t miss this one and get involved with the widespread efforts to reduce water pollution and improve the resilience of the coastal and marine ecosystems of the Great Barrier Reef.
