Digital solutions for sampling and reporting
Presenters:
Mobile technology is changing the way data is collected and transferred. There has been a perception that digital data isn’t as secure or accurate as data collected and delivered on paper. Advanced precision data collection techniques, as well as advances in the way data is transferred and received, is changing the way businesses and governments communicate information, and make decisions. These new techniques are becoming easier to use, more widespread, and are fundamentally changing both the environmental and laboratory industries. This means that there will be a substantial amount of money saved by data collectors, laboratories, and the end users of the data.
This presentation is intended for company environmental managers, consulting engineering company project managers, lab directors, municipal water supply managers, wastewater treatment system managers and lab technicians. You learnt how digital capture of sample information at the point of collection and automated reporting will disrupt the environmental industry, and by association, the lab industry. We covered a process for streamlining mobile data entry, using a “mobile app” that is now currently available.
We looked at how these advances in data collection technologies has facilitated significant advances in reporting capabilities. Not just an Excel table, but delivery of completed reports in a variety of formats. The traditional “electronic data deliverable” is changing and the industry is on the verge of being disrupted by modern algorithms, data validation automation, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence.
