Don’t miss this next webinar where we showcase how artificial intelligence is transforming the way pollution is monitored and managed across waterways and stormwater systems.
Matthew O’Brien, from AI for Enviros will share practical insights into the evolution of AI-enabled pollution monitoring, an approach that is rapidly gaining traction among environmental practitioners and local governments.
Developed in collaboration with Bio2Lab, the technology emerged from a real-world water quality surveillance challenge. What began with traditional field sensors evolved into the use of camera systems, ultimately leading to AI-assisted image interpretation capable of detecting visible pollution events in real time.
The webinar will explore how this progression has enabled more efficient and responsive monitoring, moving beyond reactive approaches to support early detection and intervention. Attendees will gain firsthand knowledge of how these systems are being applied in operational environments, including case studies from Banyule City Council.
Matthew O’Brien will also discuss how AI-driven monitoring can enhance situational awareness and enable more targeted responses, helping authorities better manage pollution risks across complex stormwater and waterway networks.
