Keeping with the “new” theme for 2026, here are some new handheld water quality meters that have been recently added to the HydroTerra range.

Aquaread AP-700/800 Basic Multiparameter Water Quality Meter

Not entirely new, but now with more enhanced capabilities. The AP-700 and AP-800 packages represent the essentials in water quality monitoring. Offered as complete packages you are provided with everything you need to get testing water. Packages include an Aquaprobe, a GPS Aquameter(or a Bluelink device to use with your Smartphone), a 3 meter cable, accessories and some RapidCal calibration solution, all housed in a neat carry case for easy storage and transport.

What is new is the ability to select an Optical DO sensor in place of the standard Galvanic DO sensor and additionally the option of adding a depth sensor to the probe. All available in a very cost-competitive package.

The AP-700 Multiparameter provides the following measurements:

  • pH
  • ORP
  • Conductivity
  • TDS
  • SSG
  • Resistivity
  • Salinity
  • Dissolved Oxygen (Galvanic DO standard – Optical DO optional)
  • Temperature
  • Depth (Optional).

The AP-800 provides all of the above with the additional measurement:

  • Turbidity

Aqualablo NEON OPEN

Aqualabo’s NEON is a very nice digital single parameter water quality meter. It has proved itself as an intuitive, robust and waterproof meter that includes features such as datalogging and WiFi Data transfer.

Aqualabo has now provided an upgrade in the shape of the new NEON OPEN Digital Portable Water Quality Meter. What has changed is that the NEON OPEN can be connected to any one sensor among DIGISENS range of sensors. This allows reading of dissolved oxygen (% and mg/L) pH, ORP, Conductivity, Salinity, Turbidity, Suspended Solid and Sludge blanket Detection. Switching between parameters is as simple as unscrewing one connector and connecting another.

Sensor options are:

  • OPTOD sensor: Optical DO & temperature
  • C4E sensor: Conductivity, salinity & temperature
  • PHEHT sensor: PH, ORP & temperature
  • VB5 sensor: Sludge Blanket & temperature
  • NTU sensor: Turbidity & temperature
  • MES5 sensor: Suspended Solid, Turbidity (FAU), Sludge Blanket & temperature
