Sentek has been a trusted Aussie brand since 1991 in soil data monitoring, and currently supplying equipment to over 80 countries globally.

Bluetooth probes since release in 2019 have been a game changer in the regions with no or limited connectivity to cellular network, enabling growers and researchers on contentious soil data monitoring. Although BT probes are stand-alone probes, they still require manual download of the collected data on regular basis (every 3-4 weeks) otherwise probe would overwrite on older data records.  There have been feedback and requests from the growers to fully automate this process without needing to visit the probes.

“Nexus Blue” is the new cable-free data logger that connects to unlimited number of Bluetooth probes that are within the 10-meter range wirelessly. This product developed based on the market demand and feedback, and to demonstrate Sentek’s commitments to their valued clients.

Great news is that all previously purchased BT probes can be fully automated via Nexus Blue. To do so, you would only need to update your BT probe firmware via the App and be within the range of your Nexus Blue data logger.

Suitable for….

BT probes and Nexus Blue can be used in any cropping and monitoring scenarios except in flood irrigation. Ideal use of Nexus Blue will be in horticulture production and research trials, where there are multiple probes installed within close proximity to each other.
