Phil Mulvey, founder of Ryzo, explained how practices that increase soil organic matter and vegetation help restore the small water cycle, improve infiltration, and store more water in soils.
This webinar explored how conservation and regenerative agriculture practices can strengthen the small water cycle and improve farm resilience during drought. Drawing on examples from the 2018–2019 drought, the session highlighted how farms maintaining higher vegetative cover and soil organic matter experienced more localised rainfall events, demonstrating the role of land management in influencing local water cycles.
