Air pollution is harming us more than we know! Traffic pollution alone is suspected to have been responsible for over 11,000 premature deaths in Australia in a single year (Yu, 2023). This is caused from nitrogen dioxide being formed during the combustion process in vehicles, which can lead to, “illnesses including strokes, diabetes, asthma, lung cancer, premature birth and low birth weight,” (Yu, 2023).
