Congratulations to Richard Campbell, HydroTerra’s Managing Director, on being recently appointed as a non-director member of the IP Commercialisation & Tech Transfer Committee. The committee is part of the Board of the One Basin CRC Limited Company.
The role of the committee is to assist the Board in discharging its responsibilities relating to:
a) Maximising the benefits to Australia and the paratners of the IP created through the CRC; and,
b) Adopting and reviewing IP guidance principles and, to fairly and consistently apply them.
The Committee is required to discharge the following duties:
- Oversee the development of an IP, commercialisation, and technology transfer decision-making framework to be applied in the approval of new project proposals
- Approve new, and amended commercialisation plans and the appointment of commercialisation agent(s) in relation to projects that are considered to have stand-alone commercialisation potential.
- Provide oversight and guidance to management with respect to the negotiation and contracting of commercialisation agreements; monitoring the performance and compliance of commercialisation agent(s); the IP register, IP protection strategies, and the commercialisation pipeline.
- Provide guidance and oversight in the area of technology transfer including the development of guiding principles, if deemed appropriate
