HydroTerra has recognised a shortage of capable trained personnel for environmental monitoring, particularly in the engineering consultancies.

The shortage is exacerbated by two factors. Firstly, a lack of relevant training as part of the degree courses that most engineers and scientists undertake. Secondly, a lack of training opportunity in industry.

HydroTerra has commenced building a comprehensive training program and are now actively training our personnel and interns in a wide range of monitoring technologies and associated procedures. We are looking to extend this training to the broader industry as industry accredited courses and, ultimately, to have these incorporated into other educational programs as micro credentials.
