Introduction
03 October 2024It has been an interesting month, HydroTerra has immersed ourselves in providing training. Working in collaboration with RMIT in Melbourne, training in landfill closure and monitoring; and presenting on groundwater management and monitoring, with the Australian Hydrographers Association in Darwin. Training is always enjoyable, seeing the next generation coming through eager to learn. Working with the AHA is interesting, to meet the practitioners who really keep the monitoring happening. These professionals that allow us to have the data to better manage our environment. The AHA is held together by long term passionate practitioners, they have a close understanding of the environments they monitor and significant expertise in the area of hydrographics. The training provided is hands on, and technology focused. Just what is required to complement our current engineering and science degree level training, to better meet the training needs of the industry. It is exciting to see industry associations such as AHA and ALGA getting behind these types of training. HydroTerra is seeing continuing interest in our groundwater sampling courses. Buoyed by this success we, have decided to develop a new course in ground gas monitoring. In addition, we are running a range of tech talks with clients in specific areas of monitoring. Please get in touch if you would like us to present on a particular area on environmental monitoring
